Electronic Signature Workflows

Legally binding electronic signatures, configured with the right process.

WindWeaver can add structured signing workflows for proposals, service agreements, approvals, change orders, and other business documents when the process and provider fit the use case.

Process and evidence

Electronic signatures are about process and evidence.

Electronic signatures are commonly recognized for many business transactions when the signer intends to sign, the signature is connected to the record, the process can show attribution, and the completed record can be retained and accessed later.

WindWeaver can help configure signing workflows that support those practical requirements, but the right signing method depends on the document, industry, jurisdiction, risk level, and client requirements.

Two layers

Agreement tracking and signing workflow are related, but separate.

Agreement and contract tracking

Agreement tracking keeps contract details tied to the rest of the business system: customers, projects, sales, invoices, dates, renewal details, internal responsibility, and related documents.

  • Service agreements
  • Customer/vendor agreements
  • Project terms
  • Internal contract visibility
  • Agreement dates and responsibility
  • Links between agreements, customers, jobs, invoices, or projects

E-signature workflow

An e-signature workflow adds the signing process itself: signing templates, signer invitations, completed signed PDFs, audit/certificate records, storage, and links back to the managed system.

  • Proposals
  • Approvals
  • Change orders
  • Service terms
  • Agreement signatures
  • Customer authorizations
  • Signed forms

Provider fit

DocuSeal or another appropriate signing provider.

WindWeaver can implement signing workflows with DocuSeal or another appropriate provider, depending on the client's needs. DocuSeal can support self-hosted signing workflows, completed signed PDFs, audit/certificate records, templates, and automation options.

Some signing needs may require paid provider features, stronger identity verification, embedded signing, SMS verification, special retention rules, legal review, or a different signing provider.

Higher assurance

When a higher-assurance signing process may be needed.

Some documents or industries may require more than a basic e-signature flow. Higher-risk documents, regulated workflows, special identity requirements, notarization, government forms, consumer notices, healthcare/financial compliance, or cross-border signing may need legal review or a higher-assurance provider/process.

Important legal note

WindWeaver Solutions is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Electronic signature workflows can be configured to support legally binding electronic signatures when used appropriately, but clients are responsible for confirming that the selected signing process is appropriate for their documents, industry, jurisdiction, and legal requirements.
